The wealth of music and culture here is incredible. Cornish Underground encourages and facilitates this strong voice to be heard.
For those who’ve not heard of the time signature 5/4, let alone danced one (a Cab’m Pymp), played by Skillywidden, or indeed, seen the great Man Engine! then Cornish Underground will offer an access point to this flourishing culture. Acting as two way door, Cornish Underground wishes to give Cornish music a gateway to the world, and also welcome music from around the world to record and play at our many great festivals and events.
Brendan has worked closely with the resurgence of the Cornish Celtic music and dance scene in Cornwall since 2001 and advocates traditional music alongside many other musical styles coming from Cornwall. His deep cultural knowledge of the roots music scene in Cornwall allows him to connect and reach out to folk music genres across the globe as a Cornish Celtic World Music Producer.

We often call on Brendan to do front of house sound for us, he is always quick but thorough in change-over / sound checks. He’s attentive on monitor sounds which are top notch. We always get comments about how great the sound is out front. Above all, he’s a really nice fella to be hanging out with.
